Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Beati i poveri in spirito, perché di essi è il regno dei cieli.
Blessed are the gentle, for they shall inherit the earth.
Beati i miti, perché erediteranno la terra.
Blessed are the merciful, for they shall receive mercy.
Beati i misericordiosi, perché troveranno misericordia.
Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness,
Beati quelli che hanno fame e sete della giustizia,
For they shall be satisfied.
Per essi saranno saziati.
Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall comforted.
Beati quelli che sono nel pianto, perché sono confortato.
Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.
Beati i puri di cuore, perché vedranno Dio.
Blessed are you when men cast insults at you and persecute you
Beati voi, quando gli uomini espressi insulti a voi e vi perseguiteranno
And say all kinds of evil against you falsely on account of Me.
E dire ogni sorta di male contro di voi per causa a causa di me.
But woe to you who are rich,
Ma guai a voi, ricchi,
For you are receiving your comfort in full.
Per si ricevono tutti i confort in pieno.
Woe to you who are well fed now, for you shall be hungry.
Guai a voi che ora sono ben nutriti, per sarete affamati.
Woe to you who laugh now, for you shall mourn and weep.
Guai a voi che ora ridete, perché sarete afflitti e piangerete.
Woe to you when all men speak well of you,
Guai quando tutti gli uomini diranno bene di voi,
For in the same way their fathers used to treat the false prophets.
Per allo stesso modo i loro padri usati per trattare i falsi profeti.
